Capabilities

Some of the most valuable capabilities C.L. Lewis & Co. brings to a project aren’t out in the job site…they’re back in our office.

Our internal technology includes computer estimating, CAD and plotter systems, as well as computer-generated job scheduling. We can also receive and transmit drawings and other documentation electronically.

We offer seasoned design/build capabilities that integrate building design and construction resources right from the start—for a smoother, more cost-effective project.

And during a project’s pre-construction phase, we perform value-engineering services that help thoroughly evaluate costs and options related to construction methods and materials.

Expertise

Over the years, we have acquired a broad knowledge of building construction methods, and have established a reputation in the construction industry of which we are very proud.

Our expertise encompasses educational, municipal, institutional, retail, and pre-engineered buildings. Renovations – including challenging historical renovations – are particular specialties.

We place an extremely high emphasis on safety, and as a result, we currently have an experience ratio of just 0.80 — an enviable achievement in our industry.

Procedures

Our work is acquired either through the bid or negotiated process. Project contract format is either lump sum, or else cost of the work with a stipulated fee and guaranteed maximum price.
